A reddish-purple color adds to the wonderfully complex nose of blue fruit, black pepper, earth, green peppercorn, lavender, and iron. The oak influence is subtly in the background, more textural than aromatic. The pallet is intense, with structure and a finish leaning into the herbal and fruity core. The wine is just a baby... but ready with a little time in the open air. A cooler vintage here, and an amazing nose reminiscent of Côte-Rôtie or St. Joseph. This is definitely Andrey's favorite of the four.
